Mary Marjorie Watry, nee O’Hara, 90, of Elmhurst passed away peacefully surrounded by her five daughters after a long and brave battle against Alzheimer’s disease; Native of Chicago’s south side; Retired nurse; preceeded in death by her loving husband of 60 years Myron F. Watry; devoted mother of Mary Margaret (Duane) Krzysik, Susanne (David) Kelley, Joanne Groh, Virginia Hirhager and Kathleen (Edward) Koscak; loving grandmother of Daniel Krzysik, Katiemarie (Jonathon) Burns, Timothy, Annemarie, Joseph, David and John Krzysik, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Smith, Kevin Kelley, Maureen (Greg) Woods, Brian (Marleana) Groh, Steven Groh, Alicia and Christine Hirhager, Michael and Matthew Koscak and great-grandmother of Zoey Krzysik, Jack and Marlena Burns, Killian and Emerson Groh, Taylor and baby Smith; special aunt of Tom and John Aylward, Michael, Emmett, Charles, Annemarie, Mary Elizabeth, John,Tom, and the late Sheila and Margaret Mary O’Hara; cherished youngest daughter of the late John and May O’Hara; dear sister of the late Eileen Aylward, Emmett and Jack O’Hara.  Mary was a devout Irish Catholic who had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and the rosary.  She was a friend to everyone and always treated each person equally and with kindness and compassion.  Mary loved to laugh, kept busy with many hobbies like sewing, knitting and reupholstering furniture, and she never met a dessert she didn’t like.  Mary’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to her dedicated care giver of 8 years, Krystyna Kawa and to the staff at Oakbrook Care Center, Dr. James Boblick and neighbors John Englert and Terry Boogren. Visitation Friday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until 10:30  a.m. at Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Road, Elmhurst.  Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 426 N. West Avenue, Elmhurst. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
